ABOVE THE ROOFTOPS

And so begins this time of year. Just like a massive storm it all rolls in so quickly. Assignments. Exams. Stress. My Birthday. Stress. Others Birthdays. The annual re-evaluation of my life. And before you know it, Christmas. Its hectic for everyone. And so you have just got to rise above. Above the rooftops, above the clouds and beyond.

SELF REFLECTION

It's final assessment time for uni. And you know what that means. Procrastination. Of course there is many hours filled 'The Real Housewives' of where ever, but even more hours are spent critically reflecting myself. This is the time of year when I ask myself the big question. What am I doing with my life? (And all the sub questions that follow.) I have no answer. Nor do I really see a glimmer of resolving my uncertainty. All I know is that I do not want to be writing assignments or studying for exams. Not now. Not ever.

10 Items 10 Outfits: ADOLESCENT ATTITUDE

Check out all the other outfits here: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and nine.

Ten percent feminine. Forty percent punk. Fifty percent attitude. One hundred percent total bad-ass. That's probably the best description of this outfit. (My favourite and the last of this 10 Items 10 Outfits series.) This, by no means, is a typical, everyday outfit for me. But that's why I love it.

A lot of fashion columns and bloggers will say don't wear something that isn't 'you'. But I find wearing something that isn't your run of the mill outfit very empowering. And the part of me that is this outfit really comes out. Wearing this brings a strange confidence and I feel comfortable, and yet somewhat like a different person. She's fierce, confident, thrives on attention and when it comes to it, she's cool as *insert profanity here*... But I have to remind myself. She is me. I am her. In this outfit I can parade the adolescent attitude that I usually keep to myself. Moral of this outfit, and something that I seem to have forgotten. Clothes are a great means of expression. So express yourself.

Wearing 3 of the 10 items:
1. Cut Out Crop Top
See it worn (here, here, here)
2. Red Pleated Skirt

3. Cut Out Patent Leather Boots

NAUTICAL WINDS

Maybe it's just my simple mind. But horizontal stripes always make me think of sailors. So stereotypical I know. Keeping in theme, I thought where better to take these photos than on the Brisbane River itself. And doesn't she look nice?
These pictures a little different to my regular style posts. More arty. More creative. What can I say... Sometimes a girl just has to work with the wind.
