They say a leopard never changes it's spots, but they lied. Never in the past would I have gone for a such a large, statement leopard print piece. Especially not in a colour cartoon version. But alas, something has changed, and in it I have found a love for pink leopard spots. Of course, somethings haven't changed. The rest of the outfit is still my good old faithful favourite, black.

Typical weekend casual wear. Baggy t-shirt. Shorts. Ray Ban sunnies. Trusty flatforms. This is exactly kind of thing that has been my go to recently. But with holidays coming to an end soon, it might be time to change things up... or maybe not.

Anything worth doing is worth doing on a grand scale. It's time to dream big and it's time to do big. It can be easy to rest your ambition on small, achievable goals. But that way, you only celebrate what was inevitable- something not seemingly worth any celebration at all. Don't think that I underestimate the importance of baby steps and stepping stones- just don't stop once you've made it passed them. Make grand strides towards your great ambitions. And do it all while looking sharp and chic.

Feeling a little French in this stripe dress. Though rather than channelling a French Riviera vibe I decided to make quite the fashion faux pas- teaming a feminine dress with boots that appear to be straight from the worksite. Okay, maybe a little cultural clash in an outfit isn't that bad these days. Nonetheless, there's something about this combination that makes me feel a bit like a rule breaker (though that could just be the stripes).

Recently I've had a change of perspective. Ironically, the view in these pictures is looking is down and out, but don't let that fool you. From where I stand, things are only looking up. I know we're well into the new year and by discussing that kind of 'fresh start' change I might seem a little behind the eight ball, but honestly this has been brewing for a few months. I will, as I always do, remain cryptic and vague about these changes (unless I change my mind at a later date). But I just wanted to cement my journey onwards and upwards with a short blog post, to remind you- and myself- that it's never too late to change your perspective on issues or even life as a whole. Change is the only way we grow. Growing is the only way we become happier, better people. And who doesn't want to be a happier and better person?

So here is one from the archives. It's currently summer here in Australia, and coats are definitely not appropriate attire. These photos were taken way back in winter, over six months ago, and somehow got lost in the matrix of computer memory. I hope you appreciate a little flashback, a little nostalgia, and little bit more monochrome (sorry not sorry).

If you read this blog regularly you would know I have slight obsession with the 'sportluxe' trend. Particularly in the form of MLM's team t-shirts (... yep, I have three). But I also appreciate other trends, ones that are a bit more stereotypically feminine and glamorous. And lucky for me, I don't mind breaking rules (fashion ones only) and clashing styles. This is the result. Something mostly sporty- at least in a fashion sense- with a touch of opulence.
