FLIRTY CHANGE

It's a nice change to pop on a frock that is every bit girly. From the floral print, to the spatters of pink, to the flirty back cut out. This may be far from my everyday, but it nonetheless represents an aspect of myself and my personality- albeit an aspect not often shared. But as someone not too comfortable with extremes, I needed to inject some of my rough and tough staple back in- trusty black.

LIFTING SPIRITS

It's mid-semester and the beginning of crunch time at uni. And like everyone, when things get busy and there's deadlines to meet, I find myself missing the joy in the everyday, simply because I don't take a moment to soak in my surrounds. But this street art made me stop and be in the moment. Letting go, if only momentarily, the doom of assignments and exams. I don't know why but-... in fact, 'why' doesn't even matter because- there's just something about this graffiti that lifts my spirits.

PUNK REVIVAL

It's not London. It's not the 1970s. It's not the height of punk rock... a girl can dream though. Of course, this is a rather tame take on punk. A much more acceptable version in the modern day. But still, one big high-heeled step outside of my fashion comfort zone of oversized t-shirts and basic flatforms.

UNDER AND OVER

And there is nothing greater than black outfit. Except for one with cow print of course. I know that many people out there dare not go all black. I'll admit, there is a fine line between looking emo and looking fashionable. The trick is (as I've said before), it's all about textures. A light jersey top, with a scuba-feel short, and leather handbag- gives the monochrome some undertones and overtones.

ENTIRELY LUXE

Ladies. This is how you 'sportluxe'. Well... when you are in glorious heels and a tight leather skirt, in fact there is very little 'sport' going. It's mostly entirely luxe. And on top of all the luxuriousness, I've finally added that long awaited pop of colour. Yes, I do remember that there are different shades other than black and white (and grey).

ALL ABOUT BALANCE

Casual with a twist. That's how I would describe this outfit. I like my everyday attire to have a level of smart, sophistication about it. But of course, practicality and comfort are the two big must haves. Structured shorts, like these, tick all the boxes. Paired with a lounge tank top. Dressed up with a statement necklace. This makes for the perfect balance.

MIX AND MATCH

And so we meet again. T-shirt and shorts combo. I know it must seem like that is all I wear (which isn't too far from the truth), but unlike many other fashion bloggers, I like to show how to re-wear items in a practical way. I want to show how investing in a few 'mix-and-matchable' pieces can expand your possible outfits tenfold. My tip for keeping everything 'on trend' is pick some items with different textures and prints that can work well together. It keeps an outfit from being so one dimensional.

FUEL UP

Boy oh boy! It has been quite the week. (And it's not even over yet.) I've come face to face with lot of challenges. Many I've triumphed against. Others are ongoing battles. Despite this lingering stress, I'm taking the time to rest and re-fuel. We can burn out so suddenly when professional, physical and emotional strains take over. A simple night off, to do nothing but the things you enjoy (like blogging), can be just the restart you need. Now go take care of yourselves. That's an order!
