Purrfect Display

I believe clothes should be on display. Whether on your body or in your room. While I'm sure doors were added to wardrobes to allow a shambled mess reign silently behind their protection, unfortunately this means your most beautiful pieces are locked in a tower (metaphorically) going unappreciated and unloved.

My room has hooks sparsely placed around to hang necklaces and certain 'wow' items of clothing. Who'da thunk it? Your wardrobe can double as wall art. But recently I feel like the clothes on display are looking a bit lifeless. After all, clothes are made to be worn. And that's when I found these... Animal Hangers! (Don't they just look dapper?) Sure to bring life and character back to any outfit. Check out the full range here. You know you want to.
My word of advice: Just don't try and have a 'who wore it better' competition. The cat will win hands down.

JUST ANOTHER STEP

Just a simple outfit today. I mean what's more classic than a black and white combination? One dazzled in romantic, red roses of course. Wearing almost exclusively black, white and red is bound to make for quite a dramatic look. But really it's the subtle details of these pieces that truly captivates me.

The black collar. The cropped style. The mirrored pattern. The lace detail. The scolloped hem. The patent leather toe. Such details are simple and can easily be overlooked or forgotten, even in the design process. Goes to show it's worth taking just another step to make sure these elements aren't dismissed, that they are appreciated for all their intricate beauty. After all, they are what make an outfit.

DENIM DAYS

Double denim. It definitely divides people. Most either think of it as a fashion faux pas, or an acceptable (often praise worthy) combination. I, however, see it as a challenge. Now, I'm not one to normally wear denim. I can never seem to find the right style and colour denim. I'm just too picky. That was until I found this sweet combo... with a twist.

This outfit isn't strictly double denim. It's actually triple denim, thanks to the beautiful patchwork design. Luckily this satisfies the three denim washes I like and the rugged, relaxed style I crave. With all this denim and my trusty boots, I feel like I'm ready for some real hard yakka. But let's be honest. That ain't gonna happen. So it's on with the jewellery and the watch for a more glamourous denim day.
